Sometimes the word "icon" is overused in the sport, but not when you talk about Betty. Entering her mid-50s and still kicking butt in shows qualifies you as a future IFBB hall-of-famer in my book. :awesome:

Another thing about Betty is she loves to compete. I am not sure how many shows she did last year but I think it was 4(?)at least. She is an energizer bunny. LOL Talk about age not being a factor. You go girl!!:respect:

Betty didn't compete at the Ms International last year.

She competed in three shows, New York, Tampa & Ms Olympia. :)

I don't think there's been any since the masters Mr Olympia was discontinued in 2003. Perhaps they can't hang with the younger pro's. I don't know.

I've been following Gary Strydom a bit, and I know he hasn't been wanting to compete because of the mass game that has been going on in bodybuilding leading to distended bellies, un-aesthetic looks etc. He made a comeback in 2006 after being away from the stage for 10years. He might be competing this year:

I think it's a shame that the masters Olympia discontinued. I loved watching the great physiques of the likes of Vince Taylor and Robbie Robinson.

Imagine if we could have a line-up with all the past champions such as Dorian Yates, Flex Wheeler, Shawn ray, Lee Labrada, Rich Gaspari :respect:

I'd love to see Tom Platz compete as well! Humongous legs!
