I have seen Isaac and others refer to this style of posing - namely that other girls are not successfully pulling it off. I tried to find som footage of her posing but noting really stood out. The one that does stand out is Rosa Romero. I get that not everyone can pull off what she does - Is HMF essentially doing more of a dancy style of posing??

Thanks in advance! ;)

Not the best example of this pose.. but you kind of get the idea... it is an extreme sway back pose with hips forward,,,

I have to agree that Rosa's might be hard to pull off! You better have lots and lots of confidence and practice!

I remember when Val took it upon herself to shake things up by trying something with more personality on stage. We talked about it before she did the Arnold that year and it met with mixed reviews. I don't recall the year off the top of my head though. Then she did an entire "figure routine" at the Palm Beach show one year, quite courageously I might add as most were skeptical about the whole idea ahead of time.

The routine in Palm Beach was perhaps a bit revolutionary for the time but Val certainly made her mark and in my opinion, it didn't hurt things at all.

It's refreshing to see a level of personality in physique sports. In Bodybuilding you have an entire routine to show off your charisma and creativity, in fitness you have your routine, Bikini of course has ample opportunity to express one's personality but figure has remained fairly stoic since it's inception. I think Val was the true pioneer, Heather and Rosa certainly perfected it and do so quite tastefully and each chose a way to show that flair that is consistent with their bodies and personality so it all seems to flow naturally and doesn't detract from their overall presentation. I think thats the real trick.
