The lineup for the Dexter Jackson Classic/ Jacksonville Pro is sizing up to be on par with what one would expect from promoter Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson and Gale Elie.
The big news is the addition of "UNDER 202 CLASS" Men's Pro Bodybuilding to the already packed lineup of Pro Figure Competitors.
Guest posers will include Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson, Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, and Phil Heath. Special guests will include Dex's honored buddies Flex, Chris, and so many others that we have come to expect.
Plus, this year we anticipate a sports expo that will be packed with industry leaders from around the country.
Updates to be listed at www.dexterjacksonclassic.com

That's awesome. Great to see how his show is growing and allowing both pros and amateurs to compete on the same stage. May have to make a trip out there next year and check it out (or compete) :D

Aw, thank you :D I start making out my competition schedule in late Dec., so we'll see. A lot depends too on my recovery from my recent ACL surgery.

What is the prognosis? I hope you heal quickly and aren't suffering.

I'm 25 days post op. Bending over 100 degrees, but it's the extension that needs a lot more of work. Knee is still 10 or so degrees out. Still walking with crutches. I'm considering bbing for next year instead of fitness now, so I'll have a long off-season to gain strength and size and will most likely compete towards the end of summer/early fall. If this seems doable and I get my trainer's blessing, I'll go for it as a light weight.

Well indeed, I hope you get lots of blessings and can come down to Dexter Jackson-ville for the big show and some R&R. Why bb versus figure? Body type as opposed to physical demands? Won't it be difficult to get size and conditioning in the effected leg as compared to figures' requirements? You know best and I support your ultimate decision and a happy outcome 200% regardless:D

On a side note: Dexter also won the Romania Show this last weekend making for a clean sweep of the shows he has competed in this year including the Arnold, Australian, New Zealand, Olympia, and now Romania.

Well, it will take some extra work to get my legs to balance out, but it will balance out better for me in bbing than fitness. I started in bbing in 2000, switched to figure and was now training for fitness (ACL tore during gymnastics practice). So, I know that I'm going to fear getting back to that and I really love carrying as much muscle as I naturally can and lift heavy. It will require a lot of work, but I'd rather focus than on getting the size and conditioning needed for me to do well/better in bbing and my off-season will be long. Thanks for the well wishes and support. That means a lot :D
