Yeh, definitely....

Figure has so big problems in NPC now. And I am not talking just about those normal differences in what kind of physique people like. You know , have in competitive line up one competitor 1st, 2nd or 3rd - those maybe just differences that someone prefers condition over structure and some symmetry over mass. But the whole thing is now judging ... there NEED to be criteria ( I gave above - ). Now the problem is that if I ask some judge "why this winner was better than the one who placed 6th" ? He/She could not give me an answer. "She had the look we want today" is SO bull shit. I would understand placings and not be so freaking mad if they could answer "She had better symmetry and balance while this girl placing 8th had quite much unbalance as she has very muscular arms, chest and delts and skinny legs and she has also wide midsection" OR "Simply conditioning, this girl placing 8th is way too soft, no even abs visible".

Seems like judges are so focused on putting muscle girls and conditioned girls in last placings, they are so focused to find that fucking LOOK that they forget - HEY there is physique contest going on on stage, you need to COMPARE these physiques and look at symmetry, condition, muscle development, frames etc. but how could they compare? They have nowadays even more hurry with time in shows as they have also bikini division. What they should do is drop that bikini division which just takes time, keep only 2 piece, give the girls to be time on stage, give them these well known criteria and start to really compare them and give them right placings based on how these factors are in competitors compared to others. AND stop that stupid finding the LOOK and all this ridiculous talk around it. And instead of being afraid to award girls with muscles and good condition, start to be afraid to award jiggle butts or SKINNY girls with nearly anorectic arms and legs and keep figure as a sport and the girls looking like they are athetes.

i cried at the gym today b/c i felt like "why should i train legs" since quad sweep seemed to get competitors marked down. this weekend really took the wind out my sail. but i gotta be me and that's all i can do. i am not going to play the chase game with competitions.

One inch? Or more?? I can't see feet in most of my pictures. I wasn't paying attention, but I wear the one-inchers.

I am not sure where to ask this:

Is the Arnold typically the first few weeks of March or the end of February? How far out are applications accepted for competing? This year they were due mid-January. Is that the usual time? When are the dates announced for the next year's Arnold?

I am asking because I would like to set some Arnold-related goals next year.

Thanks!:)

Yep. I've even been Googling and looking on sites like bb.com, MD.com, etc. I was thinking that the event was SO HUGE, they must be planning at least a year in advance.
