Is anyone out here going to the Washington state Ironman show Oct 3rd? I am visiting my boyfriend in Seattle for two weeks and I am going to this show and probably going to pass out biz cards and etc. If anyone would like to meet up there and say hi I'd love that! I always am up for meeting SC peeps! Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in! :o) This show is in Snoqualmie Washington and hopefully I'll see some SC peeps there! I should be able to take some nice pictures for here.

If anyone is doing this show, please let me know so I can get pictures of you for SC!!! I'll have a netbook with me so I should be able to post updates as soon as Sean and I return home. So that'll be fun! PM me or feel free to email me at jodi_sturdevant@verizon.net okay?

Jodi :o)

Hi Jody,

I am going as a spectator but only to the night show. This should be a good show as usual and I am excited to see how it plays out at the new venue. FYI, if you and others don't already know...it is 21 and over only...kind of a bummer for families.

Have a great day and enjoy your visit here in Seattle.

Oh that is weird, wonder why 21 and over...oh well, I'm past that just kinda interesting...

I'm visiting Seattle for two weeks and couldn't be more excited! I'm moving there late November! YAY!

The promoters of the show, Brad and Elaine Craig, signed both the Ironman and Emerald Cup contract with Snoqualmie Casino not knowing they have a 21 and over policy. From what I read on their blog it was not listed in the contract anywhere. The competitors can be under 21 because they will be under tight supervision in designated quarters. It really sucks and the Craigs are of course disheartened and a bit upset but they could not back out because production was already underway. I bet ticket sales will be lower than usual or maybe not because it is at a "fun" place rather than the usual Meydenbauer Center...snooze! Who knows, maybe they will change the ECup venue or come to some sort of agreement. My kids LOVE to come to my shows and the one time I didn't let them come because of school they were peeved to say the least :argue:

Again, have a great time in Seattle and good luck with your move. Oh, and don't get too used to this warm sunny September weather...by now the standard attire is a hoodie with an umbrella in hand. Enjoy the sun :vacation:

I'll be there of course. Sounds like this casino is a stickler for the rules. It could be an adventure photographing around there.
