Expo and show (duh lol)

Hang out with some pro poker friends.
Fancy dinner at least one night (not sure where yet).
Oxygen party.
Maybe catch a show, probably a Cirque I haven't seen yet.
Find time to train.

That's about it. I'm kinda boring in Vegas haha

What to do in such a place then? Attend the Olympia festivities, meet like-minded people & enjoy their company, get your workout in over at Gold's, and if there's still time left for other stuff then try something a little different and relatively inexpensive.

One thing worth the short trip is to check out Hoover Dam, a true wonder to see in person. It's a hoot. The scale of this Depression-era public works project is amazing. And the way it blends in with the natural surroundings yet stands out so starkly as a man-made monument puts it in a select class of U.S. sights with Mt. Rushmore.

Back in LV one off-beat thing to do is pop in for a look at the Liberace Museum located in your otherwise average urban-sprawl kinda strip mall. Liberace was a very gifted pianist, but really is remembered as much if not more for his over-the-top flamboyant exhibitionism. His bejeweled costumes and precious mannerisms/speech seemed to endear him all the more to his fans during his long and lucrative career in entertainment.

I've never gambled in LV, but the casino scene on The Strip is a must-see. Just remember the house has a overwhelmingly significant & virtually unalterable advantage over any gambler in almost any situation. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) math whizzes schooling casinos at their blackjack tables were a fleeting exception to the rule. My advice is to watch the casino spectacle and spend your money elsewhere.

If you really want to mix up your money with the casinos then stack the odds in your favor. Find a well-run, publicly-held, casino-operating corporation with a proven track record of profitability and similar future prospects. Buy common stock in that company. You will then be the house. Oh and don't forget to keep an eye on the company's performance because casinos can lose money for reasons unrelated to the odds at their gaming tables.

We're going to a O party that our friends are throwing. Need to support 3 of Colorado athletes, Phil, and our 2 Heathers. Doing what Suzanne is doing and also catering Q-doba. :) Can't wait!

Watching the webcast and talking on SC. Praying the webcast isn't screwy this year!
