From a spectator point of view (me) I honestly saw
ZERO flaws in the way the show ran, from pre-judging all the way through the night show.
Very few hiccups where they had to stop for a minute before proceeding. I only saw maybe one or two of those.
BTW, the guy who helped to dictate where the figure girls were to line-up on stage was worth his weight in gold. I could only imagine the mass-confusion if he weren't there. All shows should have a stage hand right there to help the competitors line-up properly. That alone sped things up immensely. He was right there to help a few contestants off to get some fluids too.
The night show was THE FASTEST night show i've ever seen. They don't f**k around. Classes all called, contestants were brought out, routines were performed and it was trophy time, WHAM BAM, next! The show was over soooooo early. We got an extra hour of drinking and eating in thanks to Gary!
Suggestions for next year? Hrmm........Don't have womens bb pre-judging so early in the morning (I was still recovering from a heavy night of drinking at the "Blind Pig"), possibly include womens bbing with the mens bbing on Friday night, and have the entire Sat pre-judging just for figure so they can take some extra time, with some additional callouts. The figure judging seemed a little rushed to me. They would pick their top-5 (first callout), and that was that, they never pulled another girl from the back to mix it up a bit like they do with the bbing classes. It just seemed to me like maybe one or two of the figure girls maybe were overlooked.
