I actually loved your daring with such a complicated production for your first show. You are a lovely and talented lady who surely will be an inspiration to many other ladies that will venture into fitness as they follow your career

If you didn't know Ian has a better selection of your photos up at http://www.iajephoto.com/photocart/i...ewGallery=5712

They are watermarked in the gallery, but obviously he can get you the good ones without them.

Thank you soooo much! That means the world to me, to hear that you really enjoyed it, especially since I had bombed it so badly in prejudging. I wanted nothing more than to go out there in finals and do what I came there to do and that was PERFORM! So thank you very, very much. My mom does have a video of it but it's pretty shaky since, well, she went nuts during it! Haha...I'm going to order the video from USAMuscle though and hopefully I can get it up on here soon. Definitely something I'll always remember, as the fans at this show were AMAZING!!

Again, thank you soooo much for the sweet words. They really mean a lot, especially since I'm already back at it in the gym, grindin away, with LOTS to improve on!

You are being silly letting people think you bombed at prejudging. No such thing. There was absolutely nothing wrong with you or your routine. Getting all your gear in place with the help of the expediters I'm sure had you flustered, but you were fantastic. Be proud, be very, very proud as of course your family and friends are for you

Thanks to all of the SC reservation that attended or competed in our show, the NPC Hurricane Bay this past weekend. Brandie and I are so proud of our production and how it has grown since day one. The quality and size of our show seems to get better each and every year and we are receiving so many congratulations through emails, phone calls and texts. Come to think of it, we are still getting calls on the IFBB Tampa PBW Championships from months ago as well. What a feeling to touch so many people in our sport in such a positive way. You'd have to experience one of our shows to feel what the BODY*TECH ambiance does for our productions. We will see you next year!!!

2008 NPC HURRICANE & TYPHOON BAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

RECAP OF TEAM BODY*TECH:

Each year after our contest end I tell myself, it cannot get better than this and then each year I say to myself, guess what, it did.

It seemed like the entire State of Florida fans, competitors and guests from four additional states gathered on our Hurricane Bay weekend to celebrate NPC bodybuilding, fitness and figure in all-star fashion with 140 entrants, over 600 attendees at prejudging and 1200 plus in the audience for the evening finals.

The show led by Brandie Gardner at the podium, less the intermission break, was completed in a record four hours which is unheard of with the amount of competitors and guest posers as the Hurricane Bay had showcased. Carla Salotti, Phil Clahar, Marcus Haley & Darrem Charles ROCKED the Hurricane house with their appearances and Ian Ware's Fudge Ambassador Award stole everyone's hearts at the end of the show.

As their coach, each show I recap our TEAM's performance in appreciation of the athletes hard work and dedication. This year's NPC Hurricane Bay had 23 TECHer entries:

Nadine Russo: 4th Fitness, 6th open short figure and "Spirit" Award. Just a mere puppy in the sport of fitness but has every tool to take it as far as she wants in our organization. NPC Nationals, IFBB Pro card, front cover of a magazine; not out of the question! Reciprication is the key with this athlete. Nadine's off-season efforts will reflect onstage. Next will be the NPC Southeastern USA which is in tribute to her father's passing last week.

Margaret Barker: 2nd fitness & 4th open short figure. The surprise transformed physique of our 2008 graduating Hurricane Bay class. Continued gymnastics training will only catapult Margaret to higher levels. This is a walking testament that folllowing the program can be magical.

Lillian Achord: 5th over 50 figure. Every women in this class could have competed in the open. Ageless beautiful wonders and when this class stepped onstage, I knew that it wa going to be an incredible day of judging all the way up to the open classes.

Angela Shafer: 9th open short figure. Not too shabby out of 16 girls her junior. Angela knew she could hold her own even though the masters classes very an option. What a difference stage poise and a little more conditioning can do for an athlete in only a few weeks. Angela is a new member to the team but has been well received and embraced to our family. Southeastern USA here we come!

Julie Van Acker: 1st over 40 figure. I love it when a plan comes together like a written book. JVA and I could not have composed a better ending. I could not be any prouder of an athlete's journey as I was for Julie. She has become the ideal student, a quiet warrior and a pupil of the game from the novice to the Nationals. Julie also finds the time to genuinely support every TECHer in her own special way.

Nyla Petruccione: 7th over 40 figure. A body transformation that you would not believe if you did not see it before your very own eyes. Nyla never gave up and became this year's Swan of our TECHer squad. An exciting day of prejudging when Nyla was called for the first tier of the one piece round. Wait until next year's changes...

Diane Irick: 8th over 40 figure. Another one of our three swans of the year. Diane joined Nyla in the most drastic of changes by what I stated at our last TEAM meeting that Diane has lost in a weight equivalent to a small person. How inspirational to see the final touches of Diane's beauty on the Hurricane stage. Diane has a surprise for her teammates coming up in November, stay tuned.

Ashley Poptodorov: 7th open medium figure. This newbie TECHer has had a year from **** to say the least but her persistance and dedication in her final weeks of prep took her to one of the most competitive classes of the day and a very presentable and competitve physique to match. Ashley will do some serious damage as her body matures into our sport.

Debbie Gilbert: 8th open figure tall. A seasoned veteran of our Blue & Yellow squad, Debbie seemed to be overlooked in the one piece first tier callout but fought back dilligently by making the two piece first round and collected several 5th place votes. Look for Debbie at the NPC All-South.

Jeff Lockhart: 9th over 50 BB. A twenty year plus hiatus that rekindled nostlagic bodybuilding memories for our Mr. Jeffrey Lockhart. How appropriate that Jeff's posing song was from the 80's as well, Journey's Lights.

Lonnie Spencer: 2nd over 40 BB. Ooooooh - Raaah! Our TECHer Marine did it again, Lonnie is the epitome of excellence. He will not be denied and in spite of last year's knee surgery this man continues to move up higher in the rankings by not only defying his age of being able to compete in the masters but has dominated the open classes too.

Kurk Malwin: 1st over 35 BB. The last of our three swans, an incredible body transformation and over 80 pounds lost, a success story in itself. Kurk, in his forties, dominated the over 35 class with an unanimous victory and will test the Southeastern USA waters this weekend.

Tim Bauereiss: 5th over 50 BB. Beautiful V- taper and a mature classical look to boot. Tim had fun onstage with oe of the evenings most entertaining posing routines and was part of one of the most difficult classes to judge all day, ten top notched athletes were in the over 50 men division.

Daryl Crawford: 6th Typhoon Bay ltwt & 10th over 50 BB. Daryl brought it with conditioning and with a little more mass will continue to climb the NPC ladder. Daryl also gave a crowd-pleasing performance with his posing routine.

Janet Malure: 2nd over 50 BB & 6th Typhoon Bay. Our TEAM Captain and veteran, Janet has had a wonderful and successful competition season this year. Another one for the scrapbook and so many fond memories too.

Shawn Hohnethaner: 1st over 30 BB & 3rd over 30 figure. Our resident TECHer overachiever; doctrines, degrees, bodybuilding, figure, career job, mother, wife, etc. this girl does it all. Look for a tighter Shawn in November.

Beth Hinkelman: 2nd over 40 figure & 5th Typhoon Bay BB. Beauty and elegance, poise and muscle; that's our Beth! Out of all our athletes, I always seem to receive the most compliments of Beth's transformations. Beth has a certain stage glow that seems to mesmerize the audience.

Valerie Venezia: 1st hvywt BB & 2nd Typhoon Bay BB. In her forties but bouncing around like a sexy 27-yr-old, Valerie caught the attention of many including Southern Muscle Plus Editor, Rob Rosetti who immediately asked to do an interview with Valerie without even knowing her placing. First show and many accolades, look for Valerie to rise to the top next year.

Michelle Walker: 1st ltwt & overall Hurricane Bay BB and 1st ove 30 figure. Go figure, Michelle disguised her figure physique by dominating the figure competition by standing soft and then did the opposite by flexing hard for the prestigious Hurricane Bay open Women title unanimously. Pretty and posing, Michelle told me that she will be forver on cloud nine after this Hurricane weekend.

Kevin Carrier: 1st mdwt Typhoon & 4th open lthvy Hurricane Bay. Disciplined to the max, Kevin was absolutley shredded and worked hard this past off-season to put on needed mass for his physique. One step closer to TEAM Universe and unveiling Kevin to ther National platform.

Jarrod Bertsch: 1st open ltwt. Super shredded wheat!!! Geronimo TECHer and a kid with much passion and vigor to go very far as his physique matures. Ideal student for me to coach and a pleasure to match.

Daniel Graveel: 2nd open mdwt. Most probable the best conditioned athlete on the Hurricane Bay stage. Danny left no stone unturned in this department. Peeled to say the least, another year of framing up bodybuilding mass and this competitor is on his way to the Junior USA level.

Anthony Hobson: 1st open hvywt and 2nd overall. Anthony the Big Tuna realized a dream. Tenacity and dedication took Anthony into a whole new level of Florida ranking and will be very apparent as my pick for this year's NPC Southeastern USA's Overall Champion.
