i don't know how she does it...she is such a great competitor and promoter AND seems to have a wonderful marriage?!?!?! we need the secret!!

That does not even count the amateur contests she did in the early 90's. Steve Wennerstrom could probably fill in the blanks. The secret I guess is stick to it-iveness. And she really loves the sport.

Her last show was the Ms Olympia, she placed 6th and is qualified to compete at the 2010 Ms Olympia. She moved up one spot from the 2008 Ms Olympia.

Betty is a slam dunk for the Joe Weider IFBB Hall of Fame when she finally decides to hang up her competition bikini. My earliest recollection of Betty was in 1993 when she won the overall title at the NPC Lee Labrada Classic, and she has been a rock-steady performer ever since. One memorable moment in her amateur career had to be when she won the HW class at the 1996 NPC Nationals weighing in at 153 1/4 pounds. BUT, BUT, she defeated Nicole Bass at 199 3/4, Anne-Marie Crooks at 185 3/4, and Leza Lewis at 180. What a posedown THAT was! Since then, her pro career has been one of remarkable consistency and longevity that we may often witness in the future.

Betty looked great in this earlier wpw #40 issue for March/April 1994. I love this pic of a younger Betty. Anne Marie Crooks and Leza Lewis could have given iris Kyle a run for her money had they been competing in this era. I think it was you who said that Leza looked like a more muscular version of Lenda Murray.

Well, if Leza wasn't a more muscular version of Lenda, she was certainly a larger version. Leza Lewis was VERY impressive. Take a look at her physique when she won the HW and overall NPC USA in 1997, a year after the '96 Nationals posedown.

She is amazing and one of the ones I look up to. Not only does she have a great competitive record but she looks good all year round. She makes being 50 look so darn good!

I hope we see her for many years to come. I also think its darling to see her and ED together as they are made for each other! Best to betty in 2010! Show us how its done!

All I can say is "WOW, thats an impressive record" Betty is a true ambassador to the sport, I personally wish her all the best!! She wont need luck...BETTY ROCKS!!
