I have never seen anyone so close to a pro card so many times in one year

Rachel Baker has competed in the physique short class at 4 pro qualifiers this year and each time placed next to women who turned pro.

1. 2011 NPC Jr USAs - 2nd place (class winners turn pro)
2. 2011 NPC Jr Nationals - 2nd place (class winners turn pro)
3. 2011 NPC Team Universe - 3rd place (class winners & runner ups turn pro)
4. 2011 NPC Nationals - tied with Kim Bell for 3rd place (class winners & runner ups turn pro)

She'll continue her quest for a pro card in 2012...

Indeed she has. She placed 9th in her class at the 2010 NPC Team Universe. She's also competed in bodybuilding, placing 8th in the LW class at the 2010 Masters Nationals.

Thanks everyone for your supportive comments. I do (strongly) agree that I need to work on my posing and my lat spread. I've got a laundry list of things I want to improve on and address before I get on stage again in 2012. It is disappointing to keep missing the pro card but, my cup being half full, my placings have remained consistant and I'm grateful for that. I'll continue to work on my physique and presentation and we'll see what 2012 holds!
