2008 Debbie Kruck Classic

Friday August 15, 2008
6:00 pm-9:00pm (optional) NPC athletes can weigh in early at the Hilton hotel 100 North Atlantic Avenue Daytona Beach, Florida

Saturday August 16, 2008
8:00 am - 10pm Check-in is at the Peabody Auditorium (mandatory)

10:00am- Prejudging begins

3:00pm-4:30pm Kids FREE! Parents $5.00 kids get fingerprinted, photographed and vital info updated. Parents keep all materials. Info will be helpful in the event they are missing. Visit all vendors, lots of fun stuff to do.

Everyone is given:
A Vendors Card : The vendors card is checked off at each vendors booth. When the card is full you can go to the 6 foot "prize wheel" and spin to win a prize. click here to see vendors

A DKC hand stamp: This allows you to sit in the Kidcare Section of the 14th annual NPC Debbie Kruck Fitness , Figure and Bodybuilding Classic. (regular tickets are $25.00 each) show starts at 7:00pm You will also be able to see a WWII veteran receive the "purple heart " he waited 60 years for . Veterans from all over will be coming to participate. (once in a lifetime opportunity for everyone!)

The first 150 kids are given a number so and will receive their backpack after getting their fingerprints, photo and other info.

5:00pm-5:30 Pizza , snow cones etc... "Stranger Danger " commences..

5:30pm- 6:30 pm Kids Demos on stage include SPORTS ROCK GYMNASTICS , Unified Tae Kwon Do, DANCELEXIC . NPC athletes should be arriving for 6:00pm meeting MANDATORY

6:00pm NPC competitors meeting backstage

6:30pm Doors open for the NPC Event. Kidcare attendees who wish to stay can sit in Kidcare section and watch the show. Veterans checkin for the "purple heart" presentation. Those who would like to be onstage with Howard, we welcome you to do so..(see Skip when you checkin)

Note: Musclepapa John will be there shooting the official DKC Show video footage along with taking random pics and doing interviews for my own website, SiouxCountry.com, & Southern Muscle Plus.

Host hotel weigh-ins/check-ins begin soon. Looking forward to some interviews tomorrow after the morning meet and between prejudging & evening show. If interested holla at me as I'll be shooting the show vid in the center aisle next to Ian shooting photos for his Iajephoto.com. Lucy Wilson will be doing some of the interviewing in between judging the show. We will also be looking for all the overall winners to stick around for an interview with Pete Fancher afterwards where he will congratulate you and give you the opportunity to say a bit about your love of the sport, give props to those who help you along the way, etc.

The big story from the Debbie Kruck Classic is the win by Karla Podewils over an excellent lineup of competitors. Karla two weeks ago also won the overall at the Dexter Jackson Classic and now in her second year of competing will move on likely to compete at NPC Nationals in November.

Holy cow, she won AGAIN!? That's great! She's got such a TINY waist! I had to stand next to her at the Dexter Jackson in every single lineup...no wonder my placing was lower

Genetically gifted, plus trains hard and maintains the proper diet is how I'd summarize the results of her success. That waist of Karla's isn't something a lady can train into being. Anatomically she is quite unique. Last season she was seen posing with that deep sweeping arch in her lower back & across her glutes. That is something else most ladies can't accomplish. When we were doing a shoot on a yacht in the area I had a lil traditional Southern Belle style hat to include in the shoot, but had to abandon that as Karla's cranium is very small. Really. It's an odd observation, but just another indication of her genetically unique features like her signature small waste.

It is certain we will be seeing much higher profile appearances of Karla as Walt Ostarly told me he is very interested in shooting with Karla possibly for several new publications he is shooting for. Walt was there with his wife the lovely Gina Ostarly who took second to Karla.

How come this show isn't a national qualifier? I've always wondered. It's been held for many years.

It is a national qualifier dear

Karla was already qualified, but Jeanne Colesanti one of the Siouxcountry ladies I work with did qualify there and will be in Atlanta next month. Some of the other ladies that didn't qualify there like Nancy Tremblay, a French Canadian diva will possibly do so at the All South and compete in Atlanta. Most of these area women either train with Team Blade, Team Bombshell, or PremierPhysiques.

Oh, ok. Since I usually go by the NPC calendar, they don't list it as one. I had wondered about it, but you cleared it up

Obviously there is some less that perfect information swirling around on these websites. Thankfully we have sites such as this so that we can cross reference the sources :O) Hope you are doing well today and the leg is feeling improved
