Hey Erin,
Thanks for mentioning it, lol. I actually get a fair amount of heat within the industry for doing it at shows I'm the videographer for and there is some energy spent by others to prevent me from shooting at others shows for as one national operator puts it any video posted (especially my longer clips) undermines their profitability. I believe there has to be a balance where we media folks first and foremost want to benefit the athletes and sport and as it grows in exposure and popularity all boats can rise

All that aside, there are some terrific stories behind each and everyone of you athletes and I'm honored by having the opportunity to shine a bit more light on you guys.

OMG I loooveee it! Thank you soo much!! I had no idea you were filming me during weigh-in and the morning meeting! I am so glad you got Mr. Fancher and his hilarious comment about "be sure when you go to the bathroom, you wipe the seat off so it doesn't look like somebody died on there!" =) Thank you again!!

Well thank you!!!! My sister just got done watching the video and she LOVES it. She didn't go to either of my shows so she was really happy to watch it. Hopefully we can do some really neat stuff like this on the Armed Forces competitors

I think sometimes people like yourself are under appreciated. I in fact don't know of another John Hawley anywhere else. What you do is rare. Just as what I do is rare.

Happy she got to see ya. Now maybe she will be extra motivated to attend a few and maybe even compete. I think we will make a good team at Roger's show. I don't know that I can shoot the routines although highlights (10-15 seconds as is being negotiated for me at the national level) might be possible along with the interviews. Individuals can "get away with" more than I can. I'll check with Roger

I believe she was killed in a car wreck.

Haha I wish! She and I are polar opposites though :-/ She is sort of against the idea of bodybuilding and fitness competitions in general. She doesn't think it's healthy, but she respects that I enjoy it. She also isn't as into working out like I am *shrugs*

As that's okay if we can't get routine footage because we could still get footage of competitors pumping up backstage right? And with these competitors, I think their stories are more important anyway (ie where they're stationed, etc). Oh yeah, and before I forget...that day I am doing a breast cancer walk in the early morning, but I can haul butt over to Tampa right after so I can still be there for some of prejudging is that cool? Just let me know!!

As Sioux wrote that is my understanding from several trusted NPC officials that she did indeed pass from an automobile accident, I believe in Dec. '06. There is some controversy associated with the continued running of her adult site for profit (www.amybates.net www.blondechic.net) supposedly by an old boyfriend. While one would wonder where new content could come from the "Fitness Coach" who, I believe produced the Posing Seminar video you mention continues to post videos featuring Amy on youtube as recently as Aug. 08 as with www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJH2r2BD6SY
