Default Help: Need offseason pics of Bodybuilders

Hey all

I am in need of some motivation, I am training for my first Bodybuilding comp and am having a hard time with this bulking stage that I have been doing since Jan and will end End Nov for my comp in April. I guess my problem is that I feel like I will never be ready and that I dont have enough muscle to stand out.

Could anyone please post some photos of what they look like in off season so I know whether or not I am going crazy! LOL!

Thanks for any help...all I can ever find is pics of girls come comp time.

I don't know your bodyfat level, but many women add 20-40 pounds during the off-season.

Our own Lori Steele lost over 30 pounds in just a few months and won the 2008 IFBB North American lightweight title.

Great link Vanessa!
I personally think everyone looks great in their off-season pics. Thick isn't bad... not only do we look like we can beat up all the boys, we actually have the energy to do it! Plus, I like pizza.

I didn't gain much weight my last offseason (stayed around 165) and I did HORRIBLE this season.

Normally, I weigh around 200lbs in the offseason and compete around 150lbs.(I'm 5'3") and I've placed top 5 a few times at National level when I commit to eating right and training hard in the offseason.

I couldn't wear jeans or cross my legs for about 3 years...when I was placing well.

I'm aiming to hit the 200 lb mark again this offseason and I CANT WAIT for my clothes to feel tight and uncomfortable again! lol (remind me of that statement in about 4 more months)

This is true. But you'll be hard pressed to find alot of pics of me at 148 pounds.

Actually, my pics from the Arnold Expo were when I was just about 148 pounds. I am wearing pants and a shirt though, so it's hard to tell. I'll have to dig some up... not sure where they are right now!

Sioux, you remember that pic of me and you from the Arnold Expo?

I don't think you have to put on huge amount of weight to make progress

also if natural and have lots to lose you will end up losing more muscle from the longer or more extreme dieting

I am 20 over but at least 5-8 is water i hold water no matter what I am usually 6-7 lb away from making wt the day of weighins and all water i have to get off (damn sauna!)
