Was she over looked, penalized for being to hard, or to big?

well i have heard that she ALWAYS is told she is wayyy to hard.... so i bet that is it.

HOWEVER,
i think she looks friggin ridiculously good...and her conditioning is on point!

I think she has an absolutely beautiful physique. I don't believe she was too hard...it's a nice healthy look in my opinion....she doesn't look any harder than Gina or Latisha has looked in past shows...This yr. was the softest I have ever seen Latisha and I've been following her career for years. I just prefer a more muscular look vs. a skinny look w/ a little bit a muscle. There needs to be a middle category in between figure and bodybuilding!! A category for girls who put on muscle relatively easy, who may not prefer the fbb physique and genetically has a hard time conforming to the figure physique also.

Have to agree there, think I read somewhere she's had to work on toning down her legs in the past because of the different judging standards here in the states as opposed to overseas.

She is beautiful and I love her physique! I don't think its necessarily the amount of muscle, but the "blockyness" (is that a word) of how she carries it... its just her body type... maybe losing a bit will stream line her more... but then maybe that won't look right on her body (this is what makes figure tricky)... I do think she still looks wayyyyy better than 12th IMO

And did any one notice Latisha toned down her muscle a bit and it didn't really do well for her placing?

Her placings have always been BS. She should be placed much higher. Gorgeous physique, exactly what figure SHOULD be.

On top of that, Juliana is an extremly nice and friendly person. And, while it's not perfect, she's learned English faster than anyone I've ever heard of!

I definitely noticed..I always call Latisha a lt. weight bb...she comes in very hard, but it looks good for her frame..but this was the smoothest I've ever seen...took her down to 8th place...she was 4th last yr.

Im going to have to agree here. I think she looks stunning but for her size, she may appear more lt weight bb. How tall is she?

As someone who was at the show, Juliana did not look blocky at all, she looked tiny! She was the probably shortest one on the stage and was tight and compact. She looks so much bigger in the pics than she looks in a lineup.

not to thread jack... but mike was PISSED about latishas placing. he brought her in tighter and tinier than ever... and she got boobs <not that that is relevant> and did not place where i think she deserved to be!

I don't get it myself either. She came in lighter than ever and she still placed low? But what can you expect. U.S. figure judges rarely give credit where credit is due, why start now?

I agree Juliana has an darn amazing physique!

I have watched her compete here in Colorado and when she did not place where a few of us NPC judges thought she should've....we asked several IFBB judges...what was up with that? We're told that she is too muscular (esp. in the legs) and her back comes in real hard. Now this was last year and I have seen she has made some improvements in her upper body, but she still needs to streamline her lower body.

i think she looks amazing also, i guess if i had to pick something for her to work on it would be "streamlining" like many have already said! she may still be a bit too "blocky" she definitely lost some muscle for this show...she is beautiful!

No matter what she has an OUTSTANDING PHYSIQUE... may be a bit hard for figure standards BUT I think she carries it beautifully AND MAN Look at those calves!!!!

These must be older pictures with less muscle... a "softer" look fits her as well...

Thanks 4 more pics...her delts may be leaning towards being too big...but I think her quads are fine...but know way does she have a blocky look. Maybe I'm just biased.
