That's funny... but I think she meant coat of tan Anyway, When I first started competing I'd do a coat at home first and then have JanTana spray me at the show.. What I found is that it's sooo much easier to travel not covered in all the grossness.. Not to mention when they tan you, it's done so well it's like why even mess with it yourself. You will be plenty dark enough. Jan Tana rocks!! Just my humble little opinion
Hope it helps,

No I don't bother. There is no need too. The whole piont for me to have a airbrush done is that I don't have to worry about applying a coat. The only thing I worry about is doing that last minute exfoliating before I do the airbrush

They will paint you until you are dark enough. I am quite pale and Kevin from Jan Tana gave me really nice color without me having to tan at all, although he had to spray with enough color to tan a small army. I have never been able to get tan enough doing it myself, but he was awesome!

So if you turn up stark white to be tanned by the Jan Tana team at a show, do they just spray you in one go until you are dark enough, or do they spray you-let you dry for a bit-then spray you again?

i think it depends on the person, i am naturally olive based skin and tan easily(in one coat); my bf is pale like a ghost and usually has more done( anywhere from 2- 3)
